  • As the Marketing and Partner Engagement Coordinator, you will play a critical role in driving both business development and strategic communications initiatives. This unique dual-role position bridges proposal development and partner engagement, requiring a skilled communicator who is as comfortable crafting marketing content as they are facilitating public outreach events.

You’ll lead the coordination and development of compelling marketing materials and client proposals, while also executing outreach strategies for high-profile infrastructure and planning projects. This is a collaborative and fast-paced role ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on variety, purpose-driven work, and meaningful community impact.

     Key Responsibilities

    Professional Services Marketing

    • Develop and maintain compelling marketing and business development materials, including project sheets, qualifications packages, proposals, resumes, and presentations.

    • Lead proposal strategy, development, and production efforts—from kickoff through delivery—including outlines, win themes, compliance checks, writing/editing, and coordination with graphic designers.

    • Track and manage marketing pursuits and deadlines, including RFP calendars, team assignments, and deliverables.

    • Support pursuit readiness and pre-positioning by gathering business intelligence on clients, markets, and competitors.

    • Collaborate across departments to ensure consistency in branding, voice, and messaging.

    • Maintain and organize marketing collateral, templates, and databases to ensure version control and ease of access.

    Partner Engagement & Public Outreach

    • Develop and implement effective public involvement strategies tailored to diverse communities and project goals.

    • Plan, facilitate, and support public meetings, workshops, open houses, groundbreakings, and community events—both virtual and in-person.

    • Draft and edit outreach materials including talking points, newsletters, flyers, social media posts, exhibits, and meeting summaries.

    • Engage directly with public sector staff, elected officials, community partners, and the public with professionalism and clarity.

    • Develop partner/stakeholder databases and track feedback and issues to inform project teams and decision-makers.

    • Ensure consistent and culturally competent communications across all channels and touchpoints.

     Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, public policy, or a related field.

    • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a public/partner/stakeholder engagement role.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • Comfortable speaking to large groups and interacting with public officials, agency staff, and community leaders.

    • Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technical terminology related to client projects.

    • Willing to attend occasional evening or weekend events as required.

    Preferred

    • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and/or other graphic design tools.

    • Experience working with public agencies or in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) or infrastructure sectors.

    • Some experience in project management and/or task management.

    • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

     Work Environment & Location

This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Sacramento region, with an office in Loomis, CA, offering a blend of remote work, in-office collaboration, and travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
